Student Opportunities
Curious about learning within a small private practice? This space is for counseling students exploring internship or practicum opportunities and wanting a supportive, authentic environment to grow clinically and professionally.
Hey future therapist,
I remember my internship experience vividly. It created in me the passion I have today of serving and caring for others. I know how influential this part of your educational journey is, and I’d love to support you.
Within my practice, I value authenticity, compassion, curiosity, and meaningful connection. Student experiences may include exposure to the realities of private practice, clinical skill development, ethical marketing, and 1-on-1 support.
If you are interested in being considered for a practicum placement, please email me at breas@gspacecounseling.com with:
• Your resume
• A cover letter sharing a bit about yourself, your educational program, and why you feel you resonate with my practice and approach
I’m less interested in a perfectly polished application and more interested in learning who you are, what draws you to this work, and what you hope to gain from your experience.
I will reach out with 72 hours of receiving your email to discuss next steps.
If you aren’t yet in a graduate program but are interested in the field and experiencing “A Day in the Life of a Therapist”, please feel free to email me to explore this further.
Learning to become a therapist isn’t just about what to say or what technique to use next. It’s also about learning how to sit with discomfort, stay curious, lead with compassion, and remain connected to your own humanity. Clients don’t need perfect therapists. They need real people who are willing to show up with authenticity, presence, and care.
I recognize that choosing a placement is about more than checking boxes or completing required hours, it's about finding a space where you feel supported, challenged, and encouraged to grow into the therapist and human you hope to become. If something about this practice resonates with you, I would love to learn more about you.
